About Laikipia

Laikipia is not a national park but a collection of privately owned and community-run conservancies. This unique model means tourism revenues directly fund wildlife protection and community development. The landscape is incredibly diverse, ranging from high-altitude grasslands to riverine forests and rocky outcrops, and supports a huge variety of wildlife, including half of Kenya's rhino population.

Because the properties are private, you have incredible freedom. Activities go far beyond the standard game drive. You can walk through the bush with a Samburu guide, track rhinos on foot, go horse riding or camel trekking, and enjoy meals in stunning, secluded spots. It's a truly immersive and personal way to experience the African wilderness.
